Children friendly bike rides
- Anon (10th Mar 2022  18:47:49)

Can anyone help please by recommending some child friendly bike rides around Liphook and the surrounding area?

Children range from 4 to 8 in age, so preferably away from roads as the youngest is still learning how to cope with cars and we try to be sensible with where we go!

We like riding along the old railway line at Liss, but I'm sure there are lots of other amazing rides we have not yet discovered. We have a car rack so can transport the cars too.

Off-road is fine, but not downhill off-road!
Many thanks

Bramshott common at the top of Rectory lane, there is a long straight flat tarmac road free from cars, great for young kids on bikes, lots of tracks to explore around it too.
Iron hill has good tracks for cycling but a little more up and down.
There’s also the perimeter track around Longmoor, just over six miles long, flat most of the way, no cars but occasionally some very fast cyclists!

Plenty of bridleways around here which bicycles are allowed to use. The ordnance survey maps are very good for identifying these and plotting a route.
