Front page news in the herald, site going to be another old peoples accommodation. McCarthy Stone again in liphook. They have one already in Tower road which have many empty rooms. We have more than enough accommodation for the elderly in liphook we desperately need first time buyers for families that can’t afford the huge prices around liphook. Small properties that the young generation can afford. Or it could be bought by EHDC they invest in land and build houses for rent or shared ownership. Lots could be done with that site. But here we go again developers making a killing.

developers making a killing? Hardly I expect! With acquisition costs, materials, labour, cil payments etc they will make a small profit. Of course some will think they should invest without return. Also, i think there are certain restrictive covenants on the site which mean only commercial development should be allowed. Retirement development/care is a way round
