Traffic Through our Conservation Square
- Russ Ellis (15th Jul 2022  14:48:21)

Well as I have lived and worked in liphook all my life over 80 years now. I have been helping LIB these last few weeks mainly in the square watering etc . This morning Friday spent 4 hrs in the square don’t anyone tell me the traffic through the square is not as bad as when the A3 came through. Continuous on all the roads huge lorries horns honking everyone speeding. As said have seen this for the past few weeks seems the norm now. I no there have been lots of discussion about it but if something isn’t done soon we will definitely loose our square the pollution must be off the scale. When the A3 came through the side roads were quite hardly any traffic but now solid all the time.Sorry to be so downcast about this but having seen liphook from the war years to now and how lovely lib try to keep liphook looking really something should be done.

I agree, it's horrible. Also all those damn cars and vans parked down Headley road is awful, it holds the traffic up terribly.

Time to move on then! Liphook has changed (everything has changed). It’s the way of the world, can’t go backwards even if the past was better. I moved over ‘the hill’ after 61 years in Liphook and it’s definitely quieter. The urbans ruined Liphook in my opinion

Thank god for the cars parked along Headley Road, can you imagine the speed cars would enter the first roundabout at the top of the Square.

Must be a sign or something telling drivers passing the social club to put there foots down, close their eyes and hope for the best on the mini roundabout.
