Parking at Anchor
- nick (17th Apr 2023  14:03:38)

What are the rules to park outside the Anchor car park

Hi,
Normal highway code parking rules apply. If there are yellow road markings single, or double. Also any other signpost restrictions can be enforced
We are fortunate in our village council carparks, that are free of charge, and not pay to park.

[editor]The Anchor carpark itself is camera controlled for patrons only. Although there is an ongoing dispute about the right hand area which it is believed actually belonged to the council. [/editor]

I believe that parking charges are going to be introduced in the next few weeks at the Peak Centre car park along The Midhurst Road :-(

If you park in the Anchor car park you need to go in and register your car and buy something I think that’s the order of the day.

The bus lay-by outside is no parking but it seems people park for short periods to get a paper etc.

The one outside the bike shop was made for loading and unloading but again people use it to park to use the shops can’t see any problem with that?.

The carpark in Haslemere Road council with time limit. Midhurst Road carpark council again with time limits.

The lay-by Portsmouth Road from the bus stop down anytime same in longmoor road lay-by. All the rest covered by single or double yellow lines.

Think that covers it apart from the station shops.
