Cat owners
- Nicole (29th Apr 2023  13:27:12)

Please be careful cat owners at top end of Haslemere road. Our cat has taken/been poisoned… unfortunately by the time she got home to us the damage was done and nothing the vets could do to save her.

Jail time for the person doing it, and I know a way to catch them

Really sorry to hear about your sad loss, it may be the case your cat ate a dead mouse which had been given the poison.

Slug pellets perhaps?

I’m
Nicole’s neighbour and have just found our previously healthy cat dead under a bush in our garden.

Can anyone in the area of collyers crescent or adjoining roads please please check you gardens for anything that has been discarded that can poison cats, tubs of old antifreeze , chemical fertiliser, dead rodents from poisioning. Our cat like next doors was savvy and I will be getting him tested to see what’s happened.

If you have cats and live in our area just keep an eye on them for upset stomachs etc and seek help immediately

Have you checked to see if any of the smallholders in Devils Lane have been using Paraquat/Gramoxone which is blue in colour and is fatal to cats.
