I popped into the new premier shop yesterday and the member of staff was friendly and polite.
However, what is the point of this shop, we already have a convenience store just up the road (Co-Op), which has a larger choice of items and for most things probably cheaper and has more parking.
If it was down in the newtown area it might have a purpose but seems pointless in current location. I really hope for the owners sake it is a success but I think it's unlikely.

I'm inclined to agree with the OP. It would make more sense to have a 2nd small convenience store in a different location, rather than just a hundred yards away from the 1st one!

Yes definitely down the station would have been good, there is a shop empty parking outside and the coffee shop that used to be a grocery way back.

They have already seen off sweet treats, survival of the fittest....wherever they chose to operate

I don’t think that the new shop had much bearing on sweet treats. After all every supermarket sells sweets as does the much nearer newsagent and the co-op.
