Is anyone experiencing frequent breaks in their BT internet connection of late?
The modem is flashing orange instead of blue for several minutes several time a day.
I need to identify if this is a local problem before contacting BT.

Assuming this is normal ADSL, not fibre.
Find your master telephone socket, it has a removal lower half. Remove that cover (it is most likely to have some wires attached to it) and there should be another BT socket. Move your router to be plugged into that internal socket.
Ensure your house phone no longer works, as the internal master socket should have nothing else connected to it.
Try a new microfilter if the problem persists.
If all that fails call BT.

Ours has been really slow and has been dropping out repeatedly since Friday. I rebooted the hub this morning though and it seems better now.
