Our Next Talk - All About Alliums

Liphook Horticultural Society's next event is a talk by Jackie Currie, titled "How to grow decorative/flowering alliums successfully through the season".
It's on Thursday 19th October, 7.30pm at the Church Centre, Liphook. Members free. Guests £5.
An Allium specialist; Jackie holds a National Collection of Allium species and cultivars. Jackie has used her design skills to create exhibits at the RHS Chelsea and RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Shows, where Alliums were showcased at every stage of growth: from bulb to plant, flower to seed head.
We have a new feature at all our talks beginning with the October talk. Please bring a flowering (can be multi-flowered) single stem from your garden in a vase to each talk. The speaker will choose the winner. The winner then keeps the trophy and brings to the next month's talk.
There will be an opportunity for a chat together with tea/coffee and homemade biscuits, at the end of the talk.
